Creative Identity Art Book Workshop

Reconnect with your creativity through writing, collage and gentle reflection

Join Parish Stapleton in East Redfern, Sydney for a reflective, playful studio workshop for anyone curious about creativity, process, and self-expression. During this small group workshop, you will create a handmade accordion-style art book or zine that gathers your writing, collage, and discoveries from the session.

In this workshop, we move between guided writing, collage, paper response, and gentle visual exploration to reconnect with creativity in a way that feels open, low-pressure, and alive. The session is designed to help you loosen self-judgement, follow what catches your attention, and make from instinct rather than performance.

This is not about producing polished work or getting anything right. It is about giving yourself permission to respond, reflect, play, and create.

Over 2.5 hours, you will work with short writing prompts, harvested words and phrases, collage materials, and simple visual making processes. From this, you will create a personal accordion-style art book or zine, alongside written reflections and response sheets you can take home.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, including people who feel “not creative”, as well as artists, writers, designers, and anyone wanting to reconnect with process.

You will leave with
